About Me

Hi! I'm Victoria Johnson, a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing degrees in journalism, history, and Spanish. I live and breathe politics – local, national, international, you name it! I consume news from a variety of sources – from The News & Observer to the New York Times to Spain's El Pais – and I report city, county, and state news once a week as a reporter for The Daily Tar Heel.

As a student journalist, I also have experience conveying ideas with different media, including feature and opinion articles, reviews, podcasts, videos and infographics. After a year abroad studying in two different Spanish cities, I am fluent in Spanish.

Beyond journalism, I am a literary aficionado and amateur artist. I am an art staff member for my university's oldest literary magazine, Cellar DoorWhile an editorial intern at Paragon Press, I created and managed my own literary magazine as co-Editor-in-Chief. I'm also a budding photographer and political cartoonist. Check out my work below.
